    Making Good First Impressions Abroad

    Por el 29 julio, 2017

When it comes to travel, there are a lot of factors to consider. From making travel arrangements, to booking hotel rooms and possibly rental cars, there’s a lot that goes into a successful trip. However, I think we can all agree it’s worth it to see more of our beautiful world.

There’s so much to see and do out there that it can feel empty by comparison to stay at home working. However, there are some more elusive ways to prepare for a trip that you may not realize, and probably only because you haven’t thought about it until now. Here are some extra tips to help you make the most of your next trip.

First and foremost, you need to look your best. This may sound irrelevant, but you’re going to be meeting a lot of new people. That’s a lot of first impressions that you have to nail. No pressure. But, in all seriousness, you’re going to want to project the best version of yourself to all of the new people you’re going to meet, and that starts with your appearance. Your appearance is shorthand for who you are inside, after all. So, you’re going to want to be on top of your hygiene, of course, but also dress your best.

Try to avoid wearing damaged, dirty, or wrinkled clothing when out and about. Save those items for makeshift pajamas, if you use them at all. Also, don’t be afraid to use some of your special occasion Ulta Beauty products for that extra edge.

Making a good first impression via your appearance opens the door, so to speak, for conversation and, potentially, a lasting friendship, if not more. So, take great care to look great, but don’t forget to feel great, too, as most communication is nonverbal, and the people you meet will feel it if you’re uncomfortable, potentially souring the entire meeting.
